Solitario Solar

We recently completed a couple of solar racks using the Version 1.3 of our design, which works great. The new design uses grease-able pillow block bearings at the pivot points.

So this past Friday and Saturday, Arick and I set up two more PV arrays in the Solitario.  They look even better with panels on them!  Shouldn't be very long now until all six are up and pumping current.

  1. Hi Guys,
First let me commend you for your efforts and for sharing it with everyone. I have plans for living off the grid much like you guys. I am purchasing my land in Southern Ohio and have been gathering information on how to set up my electrical grid and things of that nature. I was wondering if you guys have the time to teach me how to build a gasifier. I really enjoyed the video on your gasifier and running a generator. I understand the principles of the gasifier but I don't understand how to build one. I am the type of person that needs a detailed drawing and a little assitance. I would gladly pay you for your time. Let me know you if you have the time. We can discuss the details. You can reach me at ekepp@yahoo.com Thanks and keep up the great work

  2. We missed you by a few days. We were up above that place looking down, a bit east? of Yellow Hill. :) BTW, the locals call that place the Solar Church.
